ETUF has emailed an urgent telegram to Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, asking for the protection of workers in Libya, pursuant to international conventions that allows any person to move freely and mobility in order to search for an honest work.
“Guebaly i Maraghy” head of ETUF has also pointed out that under the silence we faced from all international institutions, it called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations move quickly to form a fact-finding mission and the need to take immediate decision to provide safe secured outlet not only to Egyptian workers but also to foreign labours there.
it is worth mentioning that ETUF has addressed the ILO earlier letter demanding it to intensify efforts to protect the Egyptian and foreign labor in Libyan territory.
